In 2013, Davidoff sent some ripples through the premium cigar industry by releasing a Nicaraguan puro named Davidoff Nicaragua. It was an instant sensation as the company had only produced Dominican cigars since the early 90s. These new cigars were bolder in both look and smoking profile, while still adhering to Davidoff’s strict quality control and balanced approach to blending. The blend uses a tri-region blend of Nicaraguan fillers, a Nicaraguan Habana Jalapa binder, and is topped with a Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro wrapper.
