Drew Estate is one of the largest and most popular cigar manufacturers in Nicaragua. Over the years, they have developed a cult-like following of fans. If you take a step back and look at things, it’s easy to understand why. From the beginning, they have prioritized developing relationships with their consumer base, and it has not changed in over 20 years. It is evident in their social media, their in-store events, and most recently their online events. If you’ve been connected with them in one of these fashions, you understand the hype is real. They are genuinely focused on having an authentic experience with their fans. It doesn’t matter if you’re interacting with one of their local sales reps or a principal, the enthusiasm and love for the brand is evident. This unique relationship set the stage for tremendous growth and eventually acquisition. None of that really matters unless the product is something special. Throughout their history, Drew Estate has been making outstanding quality cigars that are as unique as the company itself. From Acid to Liga Privada, everything in the Drew Estate portfolio is special.
In an effort to revive the art of tobacco growing in Central Florida (which ceased in 1977), Jeff Borysiewicz purchased a pristine 20-acre plot of land near the Central Florida town of Clermont. He began cultivating tobacco on his small farm in 2013 with the hopes of reviving the Sunshine State’s legacy of tobacco growing. Together with his friends at Drew Estate, they wanted to create a brand that would pay homage to the past and build a bridge to the future using tobacco grown on this farm. Blended in the traditional style of Pure Havana cigars that were all the rage in the middle 20th century, 20 Acre Farm uses a blend of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, a Sun Grown Habano binder lead from the farm, and an Ecuador Connecticut Shade wrapper. Tasting notes include flavors of cedar, cream, and roasted nuts with hints of citrus, baking spices, and earth. 20 Acre Farm is an exceptionally well made showcase of flavor.
