In 2008, Christian Luis Eiroa (CLE) sold his eponymous Camacho Brand to Davidoff. He had a 5 year non-compete agreement, and the moment that was up in 2012, he launched his new brand. CLE Cigar Company came out of the gate with a bang at launch. It’s no surprise given the company’s pedigree. Wasting no time, he developed a series of well-regarded blends and worked his tobacco and marketing magic to create one of the hottest new(er) cigar companies on the market. Each and every cigar they produce is made with precision, care, and excellence. That’s not just marketing hype. He has elevated his craft and only uses the finest tobacco available to create his blends. Most feature some of his family’s exclusive Honduran Authentic Corojo tobacco as it provides the signature flavor and aroma that his fans have come to expect. Under the CLE Umbrella you will find top brands like Asylum, Wynwood Hills, CLE, and Eiroa.
The Eiroa CBT Maduro is a delicious full-flavored cigar. It’s named after the brand’s founder, Christian Eiroa (pronounced eh-row-hah) and the CBT part refers to “Capa, Banda, and Tripa” which translates from Spanish to “Wrapper, Binder, and Filler”, the 3 components of a premium cigar. The final part of the brand name is Maduro. Not only does this cigar use a gorgeous dark-chocolate colored Mexican San Andreas Maduro wrapper, but the binder and filler tobaccos are also Maduro. You can expect excellent construction on this full-flavored gem, Expect tasting notes to include cocoa and pepper along with hints of sweetness and rich earthiness. The Eiroa CBT Maduro pairs well with dark coffee beverages and stout-style beers.
