Hoyo De Monterrey Oscuro Torpedo (6.5x52 / Box 10)

Translated to "The Whole of Monterrey", Hoyo de Monterrey is a classic Cuban cigar brand that still stands strong today. Jose Gener registered the brand in 1865 after purchasing a farm in Vuelta Abajo, Cuba, and once his product gained fame and earned much praise, his factory became one of the largest operations on the island. The brand was purchased by Fernando Palicio who at the time of the Cuban Revolution fled from Havana to Florida where he sold his cigar lines to the Villazon family. The popular Honduran Hoyo de Monterrey continues strong to this day, proudly wearing its beloved heritage on its sleeve.

The Hoyo de Monterrey Oscuro cigar line is regarded for its remarkable smoothness and depth of flavor and balance. The Oscuro’s oily Brazilian Mata Fina maduro wrapper cloaks an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and filler leaves from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua. This unique three-nation blend offers medium-bodied smokers the opportunity to try something a little bit more challenging without it being overwhelming.

Flavor notes of Cocoa, earth, and chai spice are prevalent throughout this elegant cigar. Pairs best with coffee or single malt scotch.
