Being the son of Jose "Don Pepin" Garcia, Jaime Garcia has big shoes to fill. Pepin burst onto the scene in 2003 and up-ended the cigar industry. He brought a new style of blending to the table that had never been seen before in the American market. The spotlight was shining brightly on Pepin and his family.
When the Garcia's opened up their Nicaraguan factory in Esteli, one of the new brands launched to celebrate this momentous occasion was the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial. This blend was designed from the ground up by Jaime. It took some time to get his father to smoke it, but once Pepin did, the decision was clear to put it into production.
Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial cigars are made using 2 different kinds of Nicaraguan tobacco for the filler. The first is a tobacco grown by the Garcias and the second is grown by the Oliva family. It uses a Nicaraguan binder and is topped off with a deep, dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial is a delicious medium to full bodied cigar with outstanding construction quality. Expect flavors of woods, earth and coffee with hints of pepper from these wonderful cigars.
