San Cristobal de la Habana was the name of the sixth town in founded by the Spanish on the tropical island of Cuba. It was named after the patron saint of Havana, Saint Christopher. Over the years, the name of the city was shortened to Havana and the San Cristobal part was noted in history books and forgotten for centuries. Ashton has owned the name since the 1980s, but patiently waited for the right partner to create this famous brand. In the early 2000s, Ashton began working with Don Pepin Garcia to expand their portfolio of premium cigars with their first Nicaraguan cigar. Pepin was incredibly excited to be developing a San Cristobal cigar he could barely keep the secret. In 2007, the world finally learned what they had been working on together behind closed doors.
Like all San Cristobal cigars, these are made at the My Father Cigars factory in Esteli, Nicaragua by Don Pepin Garcia. However, this cigar is not your typical blend from Senior Garcia. While this blend has some of the hallmark notes you've come to expect from his blends, the flavor profile is unique and different. It is an excellent cigar! Using Nicaraguan Filler & Binder leaves along with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, San Cristobal Revelation is a medium to full-bodied and very complex cigar. They offer a rich, earthy flavor-bouquet with notes of leather, cedar, nuts and spice.
