According to Southern Draw’s founder Robert Holt, It’s all about the people. Brand co-owner (and Robert’s lovely wife) Sharon extends the idea by highlighting the importance of cigar culture and its incredibly inclusive community. It’s like instant southern hospitality where people are accepting of just about anyone who sits down to enjoy a cigar beside them. As a fine “southern” lady and gentleman, this husband and wife team are always gracious, humble, and thankful to be part of a vibrant culture that takes its members from all walks of life and backgrounds. While Southern Draw is a relative newcomer to the premium cigar industry, they have quickly established themselves as a boutique producer with a focus on quality and flavor.
The Southern Draw Jacob’s Ladder is a delicious addition to the Southern Draw family of fine cigars. Like many of the other blends in their portfolio, the Jacob’s ladder is made under the watchful eye of AJ Fernandez at his Nicaraguan factory. Wanting to blend something a little different than your typical Nicaraguan cigar with a Broadleaf wrapper, AJ and Robert hold decided to use a Broadleaf wrapper grown in Pennsylvania. It offers a slightly different flavor profile than the version grown in Connecticut. The blend also uses filler tobaccos from three regions of Nicaragua (Ligero; Jalapa & Esteli) and a Maduro binder. It’s a complex blend that offers exceptional flavor. Tasting notes include meaty flavors of earth, espresso, and leather with hints of pepper, dark, cherry, and molasses. It’s no wonder this is one of Southern Draw’s most popular cigars. The blend delivers every time and has you coming back for more.
