Warped Cigars is another tale of the boutique cigar company that could. Launched in 2009, the brand was founded by then 29 year old Kyle Gellis, making him one of the youngest cigar brand owners around. He had a string of early hits like La Colmena and Futuro that helped cement his place in the industry. He does not own a factory, but partners with select manufacturers to produce his brands. The factories he works with the most are El Titan de Bronze in Miami and Aganorsa Leaf in Nicaragua. Both factories are able to create the boutique, quality cigars that are Gellis’ focus. Only producing a total of 115,000 to 200,000 cigars per year, Warped places a focus on quality rather than quantity.
Warped Maestro Del Tiempo is a different blend for Kyle Gellis and Warped cigars. Meaning ‘Master of Time’, the Maestro Del Tiempo will make you wish you had more time to savor this excellent cigar. It was created to honor that perfect smoking experience that you wished would never end. We’ve all experienced it at one time or another. The perfect cigar, the perfect setting, and the perfect companions. Maestro Del Tiempo is rolled at Aganorsa’s TABSA factory in Nicaragua and features Aganorsa grown tobaccos throughout the blend. The filler is comprised of Nicaragua Criollo ’98 and Corojo ‘99 leaves along with an undisclosed Nicaraguan binder. The wrapper is the star of the show, and it is a unique Nicaragua Jalapa Corojo ’99 Clara leaf. Tasting notes include flavors of cedar, natural tobaccos, coffee, and earth with hints of pepper, almonds, and raisins. This blend is a great start towards that perfect smoking experience.
